Welcome
Jakkalswater game and adventure lodge is situated
82km from Usakos, a small town on your way to Swakopmund. Take the D1914
from Usakos. If you come from Swakopmund you can take the C28, then turn off
towards the moon landscape onto the D1914 for a total of 110km. This route
would take you via the Welwitchia valley, Swakop River and is a rewarding
drive. The farm was host to one
of Namibia's Railway stations, with its own history ... (see the
historical button) and much of the ruins and artifacts dating back to that
era is still to be seen. German soldiers used the station on Jakkalswater as
a hide out against the English.
In the hands of the Geldenhuys family, this beautiful farm
developed into one of Namibia's better lodges and have lots to offer any
holiday maker or tourist who loves the outdoor and fascinating scenery and
rock formations.
Arriving at the
lodge, you will be met by our warm and friendly hosts, Mathew and Herma
Shepperson and staff, who will ensure that your stay will be a unforgettable
experience. |
