DAY-TO-DAY ITINERARY OUTLINE
| DAY 1 | Arrive at Namibia's International airport where your host and transport will meet you. Transfer to Windhoek for a quick tour of its sights and sounds before settling into a comfortable B&B facility on the outskirts of Windhoek. Relax after the long flight and acclimatize to Namibia. |
| DAY 2 | A leisurely breakfast before heading south on the main route towards South Africa, and a south-central lodge to shorten the long distance. |
| DAY 3 | Continue into southern Namibia, where you will sleep in the immediate vicinity of the Fish River canyon. |
| DAY 4 | As you continue further west today, and you think that nothing can surprise you anymore, the landscape changes once more. Subject to time of year, the entire landscape appears to be one massive artist's canvas, with a completed water-colour painting on it - all in pastel colours! Arrive at the fairy-tale town of Lüderitz on the South Atlantic coast. |
| DAY 5 | Return to the Interior with a visit to the ghost town of Kolmanskop en-route. Arrive at the "home-base" of Namibia's famous feral horses of the Namib. |
| DAY 6 | Continue north into the Namib desert towards your first desert venue - a Moroccan-styled desert camp. |
| DAY 7 | An early start to enter the valley leading to Sossusvlei and the highest sand dunes in the world. Experience a sea of dunes and mountains that never seem to end. Return to the lodge for a quick stop, before continuing towards a desert guest farm in the central Namib as your next venue. |
| DAY 8 | Your first return to "civilization". Last part of the afternoon and evening at own leisure. If you are seafood lovers, Swakopmund is it! |
| DAY 9 | Entire day at own leisure in Namibia's own holiday Riviera, Swakopmund! You are free to join any of the several, privately operated, optional activities. (To view some of these activities and their approximate prices, click HERE). You might also wish to view the largest mineral, crystal cluster ever unearthed to date. |
| DAY 10 | After an early lunch, travel on a salt-surfaced road along the coast towards one of the larger Cape Fur Seal colonies along the Skeleton Coast. |
| DAY 11 | Today you enter Damaraland and its rugged landscapes, often referred to as Landscapes of the Soul. En-route, pass the highest mountain peak in Namibia, the Brandberg, before reaching a Damaraland rest camp for a good night's rest after a sunset drive within this pristine wilderness. |
| DAY 12 | Start your day with an informative guided walk, before joining a local guide on a short but pleasant hike through the myriad ancient Petroglyphs (rock engravings). See nature's artist at work in the miniature valley of the Organ Pipes; theorize on the origin of the Burnt Mountain and return to camp. |
| DAY 13 | Moving further into Damaraland, reach the un-official boundary between Damaraland and Kaokoland via a western approach through this wilderness, for a well deserved rest in the restored ruins of an old German Fort - used as an outpost during the German-colonial era. |
| DAY 14 | A relatively long drive to reach the upper areas of the Kaokoveld, on the banks of the Kunene River - the very northern end of Namibia's border! En-route you will pass through the only town in the entire area. Here you are sure to meet up with some of the local, ochre-coloured Ova-Himba people. Your venue tonight is a tranquil piece of African paradise, welcoming you on a silent and peaceful sundowners cruise down the Kunene River. |
| DAY 15 | Besides the serene setting of this beautiful riverine environment, those who dare can partake of some white-water rafting and many other pleasurable activities such as canoeing, quad-biking, hikes or visit a Himba village. |
| DAY 16 | Return all the way to the southernmost border of this wilderness area on your way back south. At tonight's venue - with a little luck - you have an excellent opportunity to spot and view the unique desert adapted Elephants. Late afternoon and early morning you are treated with a great variety of sight and sound from the local bird life. |
| DAY 17 | Today you experience how quickly a landscape changes in Namibia. From the rugged beauty that you leave behind, to a dry and dusty Etosha National Park. Something new, something different, as you settle into a safari camp near to the Park's entrance. |
| DAY 18 | An entire day's Game viewing across the length of the Etosha National Park's visitor's area. Arrive at the centre camp in time for lunch. Continue towards the eastern exit and leave the Park before sunset to settle in a bush camp before dinner. |
| DAY 19 | To shorten the distance back to civilization, stop over for the night, right in the heart of the African savannah. |
| DAY 20 | No particular rush this morning, sleep a little later or maybe enjoy some early morning nature walks before arriving at a small Game Lodge en-route to the airport by late afternoon. Should you feel up to it, join a sundowner nature drive for a final glimpse of our sunset on this, your last night in Namibia, Africa. |
| DAY 21 | Subject to flight departure time, a leisurely morning for nature walks, or simply laze in a pool chair, watching wildlife at the waterhole. Transfer to Namibia's International airport to arrive in time for your departure flight. |
