| DAY 1 | Arrive at Namibia's International airport where your host and transport will meet you. Transfer to Windhoek for a quick tour of its sights and sounds before settling into a comfortable B&B facility on the outskirts of Windhoek. Relax after the long flight and acclimatize to Namibia. |
| DAY 2 | A leisurely breakfast before heading south. Travelling along the perimeter of Namibia's central highlands, you will make a pit-stop as you reach the edge of the escarpment. Breathe the fresh air of the mountains as an endless vista of the Namib desert unfolds at your feet,
while enjoying a picnic lunch. Descend into the desert towards a desert camp for your first night in the Namib desert. |
| DAY 3 | An early start to enter the valley leading to Sossusvlei and the highest sand dunes in the world. Experience a sea of dunes and mountains that never seem to end. Return to the lodge for a quick stop, before continuing towards a
desert nature camp in the southern Namib as your next venue. |
| DAY 4 |
Moving out of the Namib and into southern
Namibia, arrive at the "home-base" of Namibia's famous feral horses of the
Namib. |
| DAY 5 |
After breakfast, head east towards your first
lodging in the Kalahari
desert, a southern Kalahari camp where you may view more than 5000 unique Quiver Trees. |
| DAY 6 |
A leisurely breakfast before heading
north-east towards a lodging in the central Kalahari desert. Time to find your bearings, relax and freshen up, then end your day with a scenic drive through this
section of the Kalahari desert. |
| DAY 7 |
Although moving further north today, you shall continue within the Kalahari
desert to reach your next lodging. A Game- & guest farm in the eastern
Kalahari. Meet the local San or Bushman as they welcome you in dance. |
| DAY 8 |
Feel the crisp morning air as you join a Bushman tracker for a short, but
pleasant, walk through the desert. Observe these dwarf-like, friendly people's
knowledge and skills of survival in the Kalahari. |
| DAY 9 |
Still within the Kalahari, your journey today will take you to the
transitional zone between the Kalahari desert and the central savannah plains
of Namibia. A late afternoon Game drive to acquaint yourself with this region. |
| DAY 10 |
To shorten the distance to the "gateway" into the water wonderland of Namibia,
stop over for the night, right in the heart of the African savannah. |
| DAY 11 |
Arrive at said "gateway" today - a rustic rest camp where you may view wildlife coming to drink at a small waterhole, right in camp, clearly visible from your
chalet porch. Short nature hikes could result in viewing from the smallest
antelope in Namibia - the Damara Dik-dik - to the largest antelope in the
world - the Eland. |
| DAY 12 |
An early start this morning to enter the water wonderland of Kavango and Caprivi regions. Arrive at your overnight venue, situated on the banks of the Kavango River, by mid- to late afternoon. |
| DAY 13 |
The entire day at own leisure to join game viewing drives, relax, have a refreshing swim and end your day with a sundowners boat cruise. |
| DAY 14 |
On the return journey today, concede to your reluctance, and spend one more night at the gateway to this region before leaving it behind. Enjoy a final sunset raft cruise down the Kavango River. |
| DAY 15 |
Today you experience how quickly a landscape changes in Namibia. From the wet, watery world you left behind, to a dry & dusty Etosha
National Park. Something new, something different, as you settle into a Bush
lodge near to the Park's entrance. |
| DAY 16 |
An
entire day's Game viewing across the length of the Etosha National Park's
visitor's area. Arrive at the centre camp in time for lunch. Continue towards
the western exit and leave the Park before sunset to settle in a safari camp
before dinner. |
| DAY 17 |
Today you enter Damaraland and its rugged landscapes, often referred to as Landscapes of the Soul. En-route, visit the remains of the Petrified Forest before reaching a Damaraland
rest camp for a good night's rest after a sunset drive within this pristine
wilderness. |
| DAY 18 |
Start your day with an informative guided walk, before joining a local guide
on a short but pleasant hike through the myriad ancient Petroglyphs
(rock engravings). See nature's artist at work in the miniature valley of the
Organ Pipes; theorize on the origin of the Burnt Mountain and return to camp. |
| DAY 19 |
En-route, back into "civilization" today, pass the highest mountain peak in Namibia, the Brandberg,
as you gradually descend to the Atlantic coast - a considerable change of
climate can be expected as you visit
one of the larger Cape fur seal colonies along the
Skeleton Coast. |
| DAY 20 |
Return to the Interior via the Matterhorn of
Namibia - the Spitzkopje - to arrive at a Game Lodge en route to the airport
by late afternoon. Should you feel up to it, join a sundowners nature drive
for a final glimpse of our sunset on this, your last night in Namibia,
Africa. |
| DAY 21 |
Subject to flight departure time, a leisurely morning for
nature walks, or simply laze in a pool chair, watching wildlife at the
waterhole. Transfer to Namibia's International airport to arrive in time for your departure flight. |
