| 8-DAY PACKAGE ITINERARY OVERVIEW: | C | |
| DAY 1 | Meet your host at Namibia’s International airport. Transfer to Windhoek for a short tour of its sights & sounds. Remainder of the afternoon/evening at own leisure until dinner. Relax from the long flight and acclimatize to Namibia. | | DAY 2 | An early start, as you will travel via the Khomas Hochland - our central highlands - towards the edge of the escarpment. Pause to view the endless vistas of the Namib desert at your feet. Descend into the desert and continue towards your final destination to arrive in time for lunch. Relax before your late afternoon, first horse ride, a scenic sundowners ride. Return to the lodge where dinner will be served al fresco on the lodge veranda. | | DAY 3 | An early start to the day. Scrumptious home baked rusks with coffee, and you are off to Sossusvlei in an air-conditioned 4x4 vehicle. Return for a light lunch around midday, and then relax until a bit later in the afternoon. Meet in the late afternoon for tea and coffee, and then depart for the first leg of this horseback sleep-out safari. Backup crews set up the camp, which the guests stumble upon in time for sundowners. Dinner is cooked on an open fire, either a traditional potjie or a barbecue. Dinner under the stars in the Namib is an unforgettable experience. | | DAY 4 | The day starts as and when the guests wake up. Guests enjoy freshly brewed coffee and breakfast cooked on the fire, after which you set off on the first stage of the riding for the day. At about mid morning, stop for tea while the horses are fed and watered. Hammocks are strung between trees and guests are off duty again until the late afternoon. A picnic lunch is enjoyed with chilled white wine. After tea, coffee and cake, set off for stage two of the days riding, eventually ending up at your new camp for the evening. Dinner once again under the stars. | | DAY 5 | After the usual scrumptious breakfast, make your way back to the stables. Arrive at the lodge around mid morning and enjoy a light lunch on the veranda. This afternoon you are accompanied by a guide and taken on a nature drive on the property, which includes a short walk at the end of the drive up to the highest viewpoint in the area, for a 360 degree view of the Namib. A good night's rest in your chalet follows a three-course dinner at the lodge with some fine wines. | | DAY 6 | Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before departing for the Naukluft Park, and the gorgeous rock pools which are found there. With a picnic lunch and some cold drinks in tow, a relaxing time is spent in the Park. Return to the lodge in the late afternoon. | | DAY 7 | Unfortunately, all good things must also come to an end and today you have to return to Windhoek after breakfast. Not to make the return to civilization too harsh, overnight at a small Game Lodge en-route to the airport. Join a very informative and rewarding nature drive for a final glimpse of our Namibian sunset on this, your last night in Namibia, Africa. | | DAY 8 | Subject to flight departure time, you may have all morning to enjoy nature walks on the premises, or simply relax in or near the pool - maybe finish that last roll of film or memory card. Transfer to Namibia’s International airport to arrive in time for your departure flight. |

Our emphasis on a maximum of six guests, is NOT a restriction on number of guests per safari, but a restriction of guests per vehicle and host. Should there be more than six guests wishing to travel together, more hosts and vehicles will be employed. Groups thus divided, will still be able to travel together as one group, but in multiple vehicles and with more hosts. Our reputation was earned on personal service to guests, not effectively possible with more than six guests per host.
