GENERAL OVERVIEW
Maybe you are trying to
recover from a recent - or older - traumatic experience in your life, or
maybe you simply feel "caged in" by the pressures and dull routine of
life in general? Whatever
your personal reasons might be, don't allow it to become the Master of your life

No better place to meet the masters of adaptation than in the Namib Desert,
after all, these life
forms have had Millennia in which to perfect the art. The Namib has taught us -
there is peace!
Come and experience it
for yourself on this short, revitalizing safari. Your host will meet you at
Namibia's International airport and whisk you off into the wide open spaces and
unpolluted air.
After a one-night rest
in our Capital City, Windhoek, to relax and acclimatize to Namibia, you
travel through the central highlands of Namibia and descend into the desert to
arrive at the first
of your desert accommodations. Discover a desert lodge on
a gentle slope in the landscape.
From your veranda you will be able to
look out over
Earth's own Sea of Tranquillity - almost
as if you can see tomorrow
arriving on the horizon. The presence of ancient rock art in this area
came as a surprise to many a scientist, the Namib was never considered to have
been hospitable
to early human inhabitants - more proof of adaptation. In a circular drive along
a valley between
the Naukluft- & Tsaris Mountains, spend 2 nights within a "private", secluded
valley.
Moving further south
towards the southern
section of the Namib, view and climb some of the
highest sand dunes in
the world at Sossusvlei, and witness the unbelievable shifting of the colour
spectrum across
the landscape as
the sun rises. Then change scenery again to move right down
to a lone sentinel, guarding the wide expanse of lower sand dunes, mountains and
savannahs in
solitary grandeur - the Tiras Mountains - probably the most photogenic region of
the Namib.
End you Namib desert safari with a two-night sojourn at a nature camp where
you may join a
sundowner drive in this pristine wilderness, plus 4X4 excursion and hike into a
nearby mountain.
Because the reason that brought you here in the first place, is forcing you
to return, we will try
to make your transition back to civilization as gradual as possible.
Instead of returning to the
City of Windhoek, you will spend your last night at a Game Lodge en-route to the
airport.
